Hi, I’m Lara, welcome to Studio 333!

In my 20s I had a painting company with friends. (They are still dear friends!) I loved working with my hands, and I loved transforming rooms from looking okay, to looking amazing. We would often talk with our clients and recommend that they change their walls from off-white to a color. They would go to work, while we worked, and when they got home, they would be delighted with their new room. Hugs and dinner invites often followed. We loved the work, and just as much we loved how happy we made our clients.

From there I went on to get an MFA in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. This awesome experience brought me into the corporate design world working as a designer for interior fabrics.  As a designer, I traveled the globe, and these trips opened my eyes to how other cultures use color and pattern in interiors.  Like spices in a Moroccan market, it stimulated my senses, and my creativity.  I came back from these trips with fabrics and other items that provided inspiration for me and my design team.  We would then build trend stories that guided our new developments, and choose colors and patterns that would be the highlight for the season, always providing our customer with something new and irresistible.

I started my business in 2021 because I wanted to again work directly with clients, homeowners and business owners that I can guide through color and design choices that are right for them and their spaces. To help them create a home or work environment that supports how they want to feel and live. I focus on color because it is one of the most impactful elements of a space. It draws the eye around the room, and sets the mood and energy. It is also an economical way to transform a space, and create a big impact.
